Franz Ferdinand, Arcade Fire, Beck, The National, Lily Allen, Duffy e Scissor Sisters são alguns dos artistas que estão envolvidos em dois discos de solidariedade que chegaram esta semana às lojas.
''War Child: Heroes'' é uma compilação que inclui versões de Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Joy Division, Clash, Ramones e David Bowie interpretadas por alguns dos nomes mais sonantes do panorama musical actual.
O valor das vendas do disco de 16 faixas reverte a favor da War Child, uma organização de apoio a crianças que se encontram em cenários de guerra como o Sudão, a Palestina ou o Iraque.
Já ''Dark Was The Night'', com direcção musical de Aaron e Bryce Dessner dos The National, revela colaborações entre Feist e Grizzly Bear ou Cat Power e Dirty Delta Blues.
O duplo CD conta ainda com temas originais e covers cantados e tocados pelos The National, Conor Oberst, Yo La Tengo e Sufjan Stevens, entre outros, e destina-se a recolher fundos para a Red Hot, organização de luta contra a Sida.
